The Australian Microplastic Assessment Project (AUSMAP) is a national citizen science project led by the Total Environment Centre and Macquarie University to tackle plastic pollution. By surveying shorelines to obtain reliable data on the presence of microplastics in Australian aquatic environments, AUSMAP visualises the scale and nature of this growing problem in Australia.
